Nancy Guthrie, the mother of Savannah Guthrie, disappeared from her home near Tucson earlier this year, and the case continues to puzzle investigators with no arrests made so far. Authorities launched a massive search effort after she vanished, while questions surrounding the investigation have continued to grow.
Recently, bones were discovered less than five miles from her home, leading many to fear they could be connected to her disappearance. However, police later determined the remains were likely more than 50 years old and possibly prehistoric, ruling out any link to the case. The remains were reportedly found by a livestreamer searching the area before police sealed off the site for investigation.
At the same time, Kash Patel publicly criticized Chris Nanos, claiming the FBI was excluded from the investigation for several days after Nancy disappeared. Patel also questioned how evidence was handled, including blood samples found at the home. Sheriff Nanos strongly denied the accusations, stating the FBI had been notified immediately and has worked alongside local authorities from the start.
One of the most significant leads so far reportedly came from doorbell camera footage showing a masked man outside Nancy Guthrie’s home on the morning she vanished. Despite the growing attention and ongoing investigation, the mystery surrounding her disappearance remains unsolved.
